Aged Care Pathways WA is a team of accountants (CPA and CA) and ACS Accredited Aged Care ProfessionalsTM with superannuation and estate planning experience.
We are independent, professional and caring.
We specialise in the application of aged care rules, but also understand what’s important to clients and the challenges faced by care providers and government. We use our expertise to help you make informed choices about aged care options and funding mechanisms.
We are privately owned and independent from any financial institution, product provider or affiliation with any Aged Care provider. We provide advice that is tailored to your unique situation, and pride ourselves in our caring approach.
Although we reside in the South West of Western Australia, this does not limit our advice, geographically. We can come to you, either physically or via online meeting applications.
Meet the team
Lyn Newman
BBus, CPA, Dip FS(FP), ACS Accredited Aged Care Professional™
By her own description, Lyn is “not too young”, yet passionate, motivated, skilled, experienced. With over 17 years’ experience specialising in superannuation and estate planning, aged care is the continuum of Lyn’s expertise.
Lyn has an attention to detail and a passion for unravelling the complicated, which has shaped her career in technical and strategic advice to help people make informed decisions. Lyn is a Certified Practising Accountant, Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning), SMSF adviser, and ACS Accredited Aged Care Professional™.
Lyn balances her life with a love for the outdoors, camping, hiking, walking, snorkelling around the Busselton jetty, enjoying the wildness and peace of WA’s beautiful beaches. A long-term Busselton resident, Lyn’s love for Southwest wines and coffee with friends, reading, crafts and yoga are her empty-nester activities… when she is not enjoying her two adult children, grand-daughter and their expanding lives.
Lyn has also been on a journey with her elderly parents having recent experience with retirement villages and losing loved ones in residential care and hospice.

Janine Lanigan
BBus, CA, ACS Accredited Aged Care Professional™
Janine Lanigan is the co-founder of Aged Care Pathways WA. She is passionate about learning, expanding her expertise, acquiring new skills and challenging herself in all areas of her life both private and professional.
Her foray into aged care started after assisting her (late) mother into residential care. She discovered how complex and confusing the aged care system can seem without proper guidance or knowledge. Family meetings in the car park of the hospital were common so she decided to study the aged care system and share her knowledge with others.
On a professional note, Janine is a Chartered Accountant and a superannuation specialist (Diploma of Superannuation Management). She started her career auditing and tax advising large corporates, migrated to small and medium business services before owning a retail shop. After re-entering the business services arena, Janine specialised in superannuation, auditing self-managed superannuation funds, estate planning and became an ACS Accredited Aged Care Professional™.
During her spare time, Janine enjoys everything crafty, photography and all types of puzzles. With a love for nature, camping and photographing the unusual, Janine is busy with three boys at home too.
Janine’s motivation is the ability to help others by sharing her knowledge and expertise in such a complex, confusing and specialised area.
